It sounds like you might have a bad microphone but the manufacturer is quick with dealing with mic problems. As stated above the problem is with the driver, fista the “Scan Valid Interval”. This card incorrectly scans for access points causing massive “DPC Latency” which result in high CPU usage for a second or two which causes real time audio and video to skip.

Oddly enough, when I use my wireless card dwa on an unsecured router it works fine no problems, when I use wpa2, it dies after a few moments and dies to the point where it actually loses the ability to detect ANY networks. You can test the microphone input from NaturallySpeaking and the soknd output by connecting external speakers to the speaker output of the VXI full-duplex pod translator. I’ve nailed it down to the setting “Scan Valid Interval” Which basically means that within the set amount of seconds the device will look for new connections or see if the current connection is still there.

If you’re referring to the volume knob on theBoom “O” microphone, it has nothing to do with microphone input. You are fortunate that you are still in a refund window.

Still a lot of yellow on the graph but yea only red every 2 minutes. XP is dead now, Microsoft killed XP over 4 years ago, and drivers to make your unknown soundchip work is not easy for anyone even a genius. I’m using the latest visga 7 driver and have a P55 motherboard, 8gb of RAM and a core i7 2.
