If you find the flight a little high for you try the Tour or Tour Draw version where the weight is slightly further back, although the face is that extra degree open which better players will like. Callaway FT-9 and FT-9 Tour
I have found the Ft-iz to be lower spin for me as compared to the FT-9 – I have played both in imix – so was able to compare head to head by flipping the same shaft between the two heads – Callaway ft-9 imix find the “IZ” more forgiving for me – by a good margin – for that reason and the spin Callaway ft-9 imix have found it longer “for me” by about 15 total yards – but again, not sure I would attribute that all to spin and launch characteristics – probably just overall better launch conditions including better ball speeds on less than optimal contact with the “IZ” – on the imix – I have not found shafts to play stiffer due to the technology – but then again I have never done a club to club analysis on a flex board with an imix version as compared to the same set up callaway ft-9 imix.

I do agree though that the fitting is very important because I got mine already cut down to size and it feels great. With market competition at the highest it has ever been companies continue to push callaway ft-9 imix limits of design with the goal of producing the best overall product.

I loved it except for the fact that all my drives were a very low trajectory, I mean really low trajectory. I love the looks of the clubhead.
I was able to hit a predictable soft cut all day long. Went and played a round, eager to get it out imkx drive with, hit 14 fairways, averaged plus on my drives, hit a couple of yarders with a callaway ft-9 imix roll.
The new look of the FT-9 is aesthetically sound. Very much like a mix between a metallic ping subdued by some solid wooden plugs, if that makes any sense. It has scratches and callaway ft-9 imix on club head and face as pictured. External web weighting for increased shot shaping control.
I am trying this in lieu of my Cobra F speed LM driver.
